Acupressure is a traditional Chinese medicine technique based on the concept of life energy that travels through our bodies.

This technique works at various pressure points, which are connected to some of the main organs of the body.

By applying pressure to these points correctly, you can treat a wide variety of conditions and health problems.

Today, we will talk about the most common acupressure points for losing weight.

What is Acupressure

Acupressure is often called acupuncture without the needles. Instead of needles, acupressure involves applying manual pressure (usually with your fingertips) to specific points on the body.

According to the principles of traditional Chinese medicine, the body has invisible lines of energy flow called meridians.

There are believed to be at least 14 meridians connecting our organs to other parts of the body. Acupuncture and acupuncture points are located on these meridians.

Tips To Know Before Weight Loss

Ear Point

This is one of the main appetite control points. To find it, place your thumb in front of the triangle-shaped flap near the ear.

Now open and close your jaw and find a point where you have maximum movement.

Press this point for 1 to 3 minutes, 2 times a day. According to acupressure, the ears, hands, and feet are the parts of the body that have the most energy reflection in the rest of the body, so stimulating these points is one of the most effective ways to achieve your weight loss goals.

Upper Lip

This point is located between the upper lip and the nose, in the center. Simply press it for 1 to 5 minutes, twice a day or when you feel hungry and anxious.

Knee Point

Pressing this point not only improves digestion but also helps relieve menstrual cramps and discomfort.

It is located 5 cm below the kneecap and slightly off-center towards the outside of the leg.

Apply pressure to that point with your index finger for 2 minutes every day to help your stomach work properly.

When you press it, you may experience slight pain or discomfort.

Elbow point

To locate this acupressure point, move the distance from the thumb width of the elbow joint to the inside crease of the elbow.

Press with your thumb for 1 minute every day. Stimulating this point helps to remove excess heat and moisture from the body, promoting intestinal function and preventing fluid retention.

Ankle Toe

This point is located on the inside of the leg, 5 cm above the ankle. Apply pressure with your thumb for 1 minute every day and slowly release the pressure.

We recommend that you do not use this pressure point if you are pregnant. Practice the given techniques daily and you will soon feel the change in your body.

Stay healthy and control your appetite effectively and easily with the help of acupressure.
