When it comes to exercising, we often neglect our faces. The cheeks, like any other part of the body, also need exercise to get in shape. While genetics play a big role in whether or not we are blessed with Angelina Jolie’s sharp cheekbones, regular facial exercise will go a long way.
We have put together an 8-step routine to help you transform your plump bunny cheeks into a more defined face.
Facial Exercises to Tone and Slim Face
The Duck Face
We start by working the core muscles of our cheeks. Purse your lips, open and close your mouth. Make sure to push your lips outward and tighten your face to get the muscles to work.
repeat: 15 times
The Half Cringe
Just as the name implies, imagine something truly cringeworthy. Push one corner of your mouth back while tensing your neck muscles. You are doing fine if you can see the lines on your neck in the mirror.
repeat: 15 times
The Fish Face
Everybody knows how to make this funny face. Suck your cheeks and purse your lips. Then tilt your head back and imagine reaching for the ceiling with your chin to stretch your neck and chin.
Duration: hold for 10 seconds, 15 times
Cheekbone Sculptor
High cheekbones will give more definition to a plump face. Open your mouth into an oval smile with your lips over your teeth, bring your fingers to your cheekbones and push up for that instant facelift.
Duration: press and hold for 30 seconds
Closed Eyes
Believe it or not, simply closing your eyes can help burn cheek fat. So close your eyes as tightly as possible and squeeze your face while doing this to feel the tension on your face.
Duration: hold for 3 seconds, 15 times
Chin Ups
Your chin can now do push-ups too. Push your lower lip up over your upper lip and lift your chin as high as you can each time.
repeat: 15 times
Side Kisses
Imagine you are greeting your French friends. Pucker your lips as much as possible and move them from left to right. Make sure you come and go as far as you can.
repeat: 15 times
Jaw Dropper
This is not only a great stretch but also an effective fat burner for the cheeks. Push your tongue against the back of your lower front teeth and lower your jaw as far as it will go.
