Before Western medical therapy was introduced to China, Traditional Chinese Medicine was used to save millions of Chinese lives for thousands of years. Chinese traditional healers often suggest the use of simple actions and behaviors to help people achieve healthy lifestyles.
In particular, these doctors have revealed 2 simple but important exercises that can really extend your life with other health benefits. We have tried these exercises that can combat fatigue and literally prolong your life. We are eager to share them with you.
Daily Exercise Linked to Living Longer
Hand Exercise
Let’s start with the basics. We have 6 channels in each hand: the thumb (the lung channel), the index finger (the large intestine), the middle finger (the pericardial channel), the ring finger (the triple warmer), the little or the pinky finger ( the heart canal) and the back of the hand (posterior canal). With this, doctors suggest the following exercise:
Pull your arms slightly forward. Cup your hands and turn them inward with both wrists. Make 150 inward movements. Perform the same outward motion. Repeat until you reach 150 times in total.
Alternatively, you can hit the spot just above the inside crease of the elbow hard with both hands 150 times total. If done every day, this exercise helps to relax the cervical region and even stop the pain in the shoulders. Also, not being able to work or turn your hands suggests heart problems.
Ankle Exercise
The feet also have 6 channels, 3 on the outside of the leg and 3 on the inside of the leg: the midline of the leg (the gallbladder canal), the front of the leg (the stomach canal), the back of the leg (the bladder canal), the inside of the leg (liver canal), the inner sides near the front of the leg (spleen canal), and the inner sides near the back of the leg (canal of the kidney). Also, this knowledge can be used to perform a useful exercise:
- Sit up
- Slightly raise your legs
- Begin to rotate the ankles to the left
- Transition to the right
- Repeat 150 times in each direction
You can improve blood circulation in your legs with this exercise and help fight fatigue. In fact, these 2 exercises can be done while you are still in bed. No special equipment or gym membership is required! Despite this, Chinese doctors believe that these 2 exercises can add years to your life.
One study found that running just 5 minutes a day can actually add about 3 years to your life, on average. This study found that this quick exercise helped even overweight or slow people.
However, there were some caveats in this study: Running was found to be better than cycling and walking, and people who run regularly tend to have healthier lifestyles.
Will you try these exercises? Did they help with back pain or back pain? Do you have special exercises that seem to help you in your daily life? Let us know!
