Our daily habits influence our behavior more than we realize, and it’s important to consider what we put on our minds on a regular basis. According to research, habits can actually be destructive, so it’s much better to be knowledgeable about what’s really good and bad for you.
We want you to know that the habits you thought were good may not be so healthy for your body.
Riding a bicycle
While cycling has many health benefits, research shows that it’s not great for building strong bones; in fact, it can damage them.
When riding a bike you are sitting down, and it is not a physical activity that carries weight. Even though it looks like you’re using your legs a lot, the force you put into the pedals doesn’t affect your bones, like your spine.
Also, if you’ve been riding for years, you’re more prone to fractures.
Using mouthwash
The substances used in mouthwash are not designed to kill bacteria; in fact, they are some of the ingredients needed to create it. Most mouthwashes contain substances that can cause dry mouth by bringing tiny bacteria and germs into the mouth.
This causes bad breath. Try to get a “therapeutic mouthwash” that does not contain any of these substances and has menthol or fluoride.
Eating beans
Beans have something called phytates, which is an acid that prevents calcium production. To keep our bones healthy, we need to eat foods that help our bodies absorb calcium.
Eating beans does the opposite, as it doesn’t allow our bodies to absorb them, which can weaken bones.
Lack of calcium can also cause weaker teeth. However, we should not avoid eating beans in general, as they are quite healthy. Simply soak them in water for a few hours before cooking.
Eating spinach
Spinach has calcium, but it also has something called oxalates that can stop calcium production. You should not stop eating spinach, but combine it with other foods that contain calcium.
For example, you can mix cheese and spinach to get this important mineral that your body needs.
Wearing tight clothes
Sure, it’s good to wear trendy clothes and follow trends, but it’s not always healthy. For example, wearing tight jeans can lead to yeast infections in women, especially if you sweat a lot.
It is important to wear clothing that allows blood to flow throughout the body.
Which of these habits do you consider healthy? Are you going to change them now that you’ve read this list?
